Plan for about 3.5 hours up through Pen Wood to Coaley Peak - a classic Severn Vale viewpoint - then down through quarry country and farmland to Dursley. One short steep pull opens wide panoramas before you drop into town.

Dursley has shops, pubs, and enough services to restock properly. A useful town day before climbing Stinchcombe Hill tomorrow.
